What about God and this Jesus Stuff?

Do you really believe in this God and Jesus stuff?  Really, deep down do you really believe there is a God, a creator of heaven and earth?  What about this Jesus character? Was He really the Son of God?

To many, God is only someone to either embrace or “kick-around” when things are going bad or someone to “ignore” when things are going great.  What about you?

It is time to be more than just a “Sunday Morning Christian.”  Serving God on Sunday and serving “the world” the other six days might find you in the “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels” crowd of Matthew 25: 31-46 NIV.  If you really believe God is real and Jesus was His Son, demonstrate your believe in your everyday walk.

Do not be ashamed to acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  As recorded in Mark 8:36-37 NIV, “What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? If any one is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels”

It is time, if you do not believe in God, to consider your own morality and mortality. Being good and doing good works serve only as “feel good” emotions.  You have no promise of an after life because you only have worldly gods of gold, silver, brass, wood and stubble; gods who cannot speak, hear, or see.  You might as well lead a decadent lifestyle as to lead one of  “moral righteousness.” The survival of the fittest is all that matters in a Godless world.

Find a Bible and read Romans chapters one, two and three.  Give the words careful and thoughtful contemplation and consideration because your body, soul and spirit will be called to give an accounting of your actions in the not too distant future. In Romans you find words inspired of God that are just as truthful in our modern world as they were when they were written over two thousand years ago.

It is recorded in Micah 7:13 NIV, “The earth will become desolate because of its inhabitants as a result of their deeds.”  The earth will one day be renovated by fire so don’t fear or believe the Global Warning message of former Vice President, Al Gore.  Biblical prophecy warned of this over two thousand of years ago, but we have all been too busy to heed the warnings.

Your only salvation is in Jesus Christ. Yes, I said Jesus Christ.  As recorded in 1 John 5:11-12 NIV: “God has given us eternal life and this life is in his Son.  He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

The only truth that can be found about the one true God and the “afterlife” is recorded in the Biblical scriptures. Seek and you will find peace for your body, soul and spirit.

Believe what you want and follow whom you will, but as for me I have chosen to follow Jesus.  What about you?
