Finding True Happiness

Are you happy?  If “yes,” my congratulations go out to you.  If “no,” I can only ask, “Would you like to be happy?”

Happiness is a state of mind.  No one else can make you happy.  Only you can make yourself happy.  People spend their whole life seeking happiness in the materialistic pursuit of “things,” believing happiness will be achieved once they have what they envision will make them happy.

When happiness is not found, excuses abound.  Have you been deceived by the “If only syndrome?”  If only I had this, if only so-and-so had not happened and on and on it goes when true happiness and the “peace that surpasses all understanding” can only be found in the person of Jesus Christ.

There is nothing I can say to help you find true happiness.  True happiness can only be found in Jesus Christ if or when God touches your soul and spirit and you feel His calling.  You will know because you will feel His presence convicting you that you need His grace and forgiveness.

I have often said, “Some have to crawl in the gutter of life exhausting all of their will for living to finally acknowledge the call of God.”  Many others will hear His call through a message that convicts them that there is more to life than what they have experienced knowing that continuing in their present life pursuits will never provide the happiness they desire.

All will one day have a need for God.  An unexpected death, divorce, betrayal or some other calamity may eventually haunt your soul and spirit.  Seek Jesus Christ now and know that no matter what awaits you in life, Jesus will be by your side all the way.

Don’t wait to call upon Jesus because you never know when you will breathe your last breath.  Seek Him now so that you will find happiness and the “peace that surpasses all understanding” while you still have life to enjoy.
