Prayer Requested for the United States

I was pleased to see Dr. Charles Stanley in his latest address to his congregation specifically identify his concerns regarding the financial, political and religious direction the United States of America is headed.  More pastors should be doing the same.

It will be interesting to see if our government escalates its future plans to silence those who are attempting to awaken both the “silent majority” and the professing Christians who have not stood and spoken the truths that they confess.

If you are at all concerned about the future of America for your children and grandchildren, I would encourage you to watch his July the Fourth sermon entitled, “Turning the Tide “ and his request for all who would to join him in his crusade for prayer entitled “Turning the Tide of Our Nation Through Prayer, 140 days of Intercession For America. “ 

Go to www.intouch.org, click on BROADCAST in the header and in the next screen click on the “This Week on TV, watch now” link.  We only have a short time left until the November elections.  If we fail to act, our country’s downward spiral into the godless pit of sexual immorality, political chaos, greed and corruption, and a continuation of our environmental disaster will only continue at an ever increasing acceleration until the country as we once knew it is destroyed.

Several months ago I wrote my Senators and Representative and ask that they publicly declare whom their Lord and Savior really was that they confess and worship (I have seen them in their “religious clothing” at my local church).  They have not responded.  Apparently, like many, they are “closet Christians” and only choose to be religious in church.  It is time for them to stand!

I have made the commitment, will you?
