America’s Moral Armageddon

We live in an earthly body while here on earth.  An amazing body that is controlled by an ultra sophisticated programmable “software/brain.”  In its original design state the human body was capable of years of life (Methuselah lived 969 years as recorded in Genesis 5:27, KJV).  The body continually regenerated or replaced injured organs, limbs, and cells.  Life expediency was measured in centuries rather than decades of years.  The original “Fountain of Youth” if you can imagine.

Nothing was impossible for man (men and women).  Man was given different skill levels that would enable a fullness of life.  There were leaders, teachers, musicians, scientist, mathematicians, engineers, artists and others with unique abilities.  There were also those who were “worker bees” who would do the more mundane work for all.   A residual of this ancient world sometimes appears in those born with savant like skills: extreme geniuses in a particularly narrow field, like music or math.

I have no documented proof of any of what you just read, but I believe it could be possible.  What do you think?  Just wondering!

So what went wrong to change longevity of life for man?  Did man’s intelligence for learning and science lead to genetic experimentation that resulted in man and animal combinations?  Did man in and of himself bring down his own destruction? Did man’s creator “reset” man’s genetics to limit longevity of life?

No one really knows, but the questions are intriguing if you enjoy pondering on man’s past and future.  The book of Genesis found in the Bible offers an abbreviated explanation for earth’s, and man’s, stages of development and gives a supreme force, called God, credit for all of creation.

I find the Bible’s explanation believable.  I have embraced its teachings as messages from God for man’s salvation from himself. But, you must decide for yourself.

In the mean while, think upon this.  There are two forces at work in man:  a spiritual and a physical.  The physical can see, feel, touch, talk, hear and smell; you know, man’s senses.  The spiritual is unseen or heard but can manifest itself via the physical senses and also mentally in a man’s soul and spirit. Let’s delve a little deeper.

We live in what we call the real world.  No need to describe it, we live it everyday.  As citizens of the real world we live under governments and authorities that we permit to govern, or we live under governments and authorities that have declared they are the governing authority.  In either case we are saddled with “Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesars.”  In other words, we have to work under the governing authorities of whatever system of government or leadership we fall under.

In the real world most try to be good citizens.  Some do good works, i.e., habitat projects and other voluntary project.  Some champion causes they believe in, i.e., right to life, pro-choice, same-sex marriages, marriage between a man and a woman.  Some vote, pay taxes, and hopefully live the good life if they are lucky or work hard enough.  Some are not as fortunate and endure lives of basic subsistence and hardships.

Everyone understands the physical world but what about the spiritual world.  Pondering man has recognized the spiritual world for eons.  The ancient worshiped objects of brick, stone, bronze, silver and gold in their attempt to satisfy or get in touch with the spiritual forces they called gods.  Today it is not any different, much like modern day man with their idols of gold and silver; cars, houses and stuff.  In today’s world we find man made religion but not spiritual religion.

If man truly believed there is a God and sincerely believed heaven or hell waited then upon their death with judgment to follow, what would the world be like? A better place I would hope, but in the interim most of the inhabitants of the earth will chose not to accept God as the creator.  They will continue to follow their downward spiral that was foretold by prophets of old.

Jesus even questioned whether he would find faith on earth when he returned.  By his own words we can see that man will not get better but will only grow worse.  Lust and greed are powerful forces at work in man.

Take the worldly view on homosexuality.  Homosexuality is just a natural deviant of nature and should be respected and accepted as normal just like heterosexuals, so says the world.  From a worldly perspective this is true; only the homophobic heterosexuals see homosexuality as wrong.

All individuals must be treated the same and given the same rights: equality in marriage rights comes to view.  Anyone who feels differently is wrong.  Hate crimes should be enforced against institutions that promote hatred or discrimination against homosexuality in an effort to rid society of a remaining form of discrimination.

Man’s worldly view sounds correct to man.  But, will homosexuality lead to or promote other forms of deviant sexuality?  Biblical scriptures condemn sexual activity other than between a married man and woman as acts of sexual immorality and participants of such activity should be “stoned,” to use an Old Testament solution found in God’s laws and commandments.  Yes, homosexuality has been around since the beginning of time and has always been considered by God as a sin.

Try to grasp this point; homosexuality was called a sin in Biblical scriptures by God.  Sin, an all-encompassing term used to define human practices that would lead to disease and perhaps an untimely death: diseases of both physical and mental proportions that would destroy man’s health and well-being.  In fact, it could ultimately destroy civilization if left unchecked: think Sodom and Gomorrah if you need additional details to see the extreme it could lead to (Genesis 18 and 19, KJV).

Think about the diseases that have been spread or caused by homosexuality.  Sin is all about disease and health.  Homosexuality was called a sin because men of Biblical times would not have understood germ theory, disease causation and etc.  Heck, scientists and doctors don’t fully understand it even in today’s world.

Why engage in activities that were known thousands of years ago to be detrimental to the human body (and to society) and risk your life to disease?  The “if it feels good do it” mentality only serves to inflict disease on innocent recipients who don’t chose to participate in deviant activity. Yes, people who practice any form of sexual immorality endanger not only themselves, but also others and even future generations as well.

The only reconcilable solution between the worldly and the spiritual view on homosexuality can be found in one of the following:

1.    Reject the Biblical view given to man by God regarding homosexuality and cease to believe there is a God.  After all, all we know of God, other than what nature reveals, is found written in the Bible, whom believers understand was written by inspired men of God though his Holy Spirit.  If God was wrong regarding his view on homosexuality then he might be wrong regarding his other laws and commandments.

  Or

2.    Accept homosexuality as wrong, and while not “stoning them,” love and pray for them as deviants of the true nature God intended in the hope they will find peace within God’s plan.  By rejecting homosexuality, the homosexual agenda of equality would no longer be promoted by any civil or governmental institution.

Each State Legislature in keeping with the views of their electorate would legislatively enact the choice American citizens support: either item 1 or 2 as explained above. Pretty cut and dry but my intention is only to show the difference between the worldly view and the spiritual view of homosexuality.

The facts, however, are indisputable; homosexuality and sexual immorality lead to the destruction of the family unit (man and woman) as originally ordained by our Creator.  Homosexuality is as much a mental condition as it is a physical deviancy of nature.  It must be constrained for the benefit of future generations.  America must decide.  Accept the worldly view or accept God’s view.

My personal opinion is this.  America has gone too far down the worldly road in its love affair with sexual immorality to give it up.  Only a catastrophic event that will destroy a large portion of civilization will reverse the immorality creeping across the continents.  It has happened before, and it will happen again as prophesied by ancient Biblical writers.  Man will never get it right because of his nature.  He will only get it right when Jesus returns at his second coming.  Will you be ready?  Supporting sexual immorality will not make you ready.  It will only condemn your soul.

But, lets get back to the spiritual makeup of man.  Spiritual forces come in both good and evil.  They are powerless to act in man until man gives them permission.   I have experienced the spiritual, and I know that it is a force at work.  You have to but you probable have not recognized its influence in your life.

I believe I have a guardian Spirit which I also believe works in conjunction with God’s Holy Spirit. The guardian Spirit has been a part of my life since birth.  (NOTE: I do not talk with spirits or angels, nor have I seen one. The only spirit I know is the Holy Spirit.)  I have heard the voice of the Holy Spirit on many occasions.  It has protected me from harm when I obeyed its commands.  Even when I have deviated from its truths, I was still protected from the ultimate damnation of my actions.

It is only by the grace of God that his Holy Spirit was given to me.  I cannot explain why he chose me for grace.  Even knowing the goodness of his Spirit, my body still has desires of the physical human nature.  I could run down a path of lust and deprivation at any moment if I did not keep my human nature under control.

The more knowledge the Spirit of God has given to me the more I am beholding to its teachings.  If I choose to follow my human nature in its lust and envy I run the chance of the Spirit allowing me to “have my human nature way” from which I could forever jeopardize or lose the Spirits grace.

Does everyone have a guardian Spirit or only a select few?  Are all invited to receive God’s Holy Spirit?  I do not know.  All I know is that I was given this blessing, and why I will not know until Jesus’ return.

You may not have experienced or recognized the spiritual side of life.  I can only tell you what I have experienced and know is true.  Jesus Christ offers you the power of the Holy Spirit if you will only trust in him.  It is a spiritual force that will direct you into the fullness of life if only you will accept it.

Evil spirits are also present in the world.  If you invite them in they will control, entice and even force you to commit all forms of human acts of deprivation.  If you do not believe in these spirits you will be unprepared to resist them and may allow them to possess your mind and body unbeknown to you until it is too late.  Once in they will not leave until you submit to the power of God’s calling, if he chooses to call you, and accept the saving grace of Jesus Christ.  It is the only way evil spirits can be cast out.

A more thorough discussion of the spiritual life can be found in “Confessions of a Closet Christian,” my writings about my life and how the spiritual forces have been at work in me throughout my lifetime.
