The Only Path to Heaven

Jesus Christ is the only path to heaven that is supported by Biblical scriptures. There may be other paths to heaven, but the God of the Bible and Jesus Christ himself does not support them. If your humanity is telling you there is another way you are either a follower of another religion or you are being deceived.

Other religions may have their own heavens. I do not know. You will have to consult their literature or spiritual leaders for guidance; I am only writing about the God of the Bible.

It is not an easy thing to believe in Jesus Christ if the Spirit of God has not called you. In fact, you cannot. To believe in Jesus you have to have faith and believe: there is a God; that God created the heavens and the earth; that Jesus Christ was his Son and was born of a virgin, died on a cross for your sins, rose from the dead, and will one day return for his believers; that after Jesus was crucified and resurrected, God sent his Holy Spirit to live within you, to reveal to you the things of God, to enable the power of God in you and to give you the desires of your heart.

That’s all there is to being a believer and follower of Jesus Christ; a very simple message but complicated by acts of man. The vast majority of people who call themselves Christians do not recognize Jesus as the only path to heaven. They have been deceived. They know about Jesus, but they do not know Jesus. Thus a person can be called a Christian yet not be a true follower of Jesus Christ. The early church referred to themselves as Followers of the Way.

A follower of Jesus Christ is thus a person who accepts, believes and professes the following: (1) There is but one God: the “I AM that I AM.” (2) The Bible is the infallible word of God recorded by man inspired of the Holy Spirit. (3) God is Spirit that cannot be seen by man but is revealed to man in Jesus Christ and speaks to man through the Holy Spirit. (4) Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, was crucified and died on a Roman cross for the sins of man. He was resurrected from death to be the savior of the world for all that would believe. He will one day return to earth to gather his believers. (5) If you ask God to forgive you of your sins, believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and follow the Holly Spirit’s lead, you will have eternal life. (6) Jesus Christ is the only way to God, heaven and eternal life.

Just so you fully understand what it is to be a believer in Jesus Christ and the God of the Bible, you will no longer be able to accept the following: homosexuality, abortion, breaking of the Ten Commandments and God’s laws. If you believe otherwise then you are not a child of God as presented in the Bible. You can still be a Democrat, Republican or Libertarian, but you cannot be a child of God and a follower of Jesus Christ. Check it out in your Bible. You don’t believe in the Bible? Then none of this should matter to you because you have chosen to follow another god, a deceiving spirit, and there is no hope for you. These are not my words but the words of God as presented in the Bible.

Many pastors, seminary graduates and Hollywood stars would like for you to believe as they do that there are multiple ways to heaven. That is, if they believe in a heaven at all. It is doubtful that many who think this way have ever read the Bible through the Holy Spirit’s inspiration. Without the Holy Spirit’s inspiration you can read the Bible hundreds of times and never grasp, understand, or even accept God’s message. For those who have a void in your heart and are feeling a spiritual quickening that is beckoning you, say this simple prayer: “Lord Jesus, I confess my sins to you (name them and unburden your heart), I ask you to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. You will become the Lord of my life, and I will follow you in all that you ask me to do. In thy name I ask and receive you. Amen.”

If you have been called by God’s Spirit to accept Jesus Christ as your savior and have now prayed the simple prayer above, you are now a child of God with all the rights and privileges of a son of God. Open a Bible and begin to study, read and pray over the scriptures you read but do not understand. The scriptures will be opened to you and you will discover a life of endless treasures.
