This letter was written to Senator Johnny Isakson, Senator Saxby Chambliss and Congressman Tom Price and was attached to letter dated 7/27/09. 

Subject: Restoring America, not changing America 

Dear Congressman and Senators:

 

I have been part of the silent majority in America who have trusted in our elected officials and political processes and trusted their integrity and loyalty to the people they represent to do right, not wrong.  The unfolding of what I view as an attempt to replace the Republic our forefathers fought for and to replace out capitalistic system with a Socialist or Fascist government leaves me no choice but to speak out and demand a return to the values of our forefathers.

I plan to start my crusade within my own home and family and to swiftly spread my message to everyone I know and encourage them to spread the word to their friends and relatives.  The message will be a peaceful one of restoral, not change. 

My message will be as follows: 

First, I want every citizen who feels America is a great nation to display an American Flag on his or her property.  If local zoning codes or homeowner association restrictions prohibit the flying of an American Flag, do not just accept their restrictions.  Get involved and strive to obtain variances.  Peaceful protest may be in order.  Legislative efforts may be required.

Second, personally write your Congressional Representatives and tell them you want America restored, not changed.  Demand that they stand up in support of our freedom.  Hold them accountable at the ballot box if they do not respond! 

Third, every American citizen must get involved and work to get God back in our schools, the Ten Commandments back in our courthouses, and prayer back in our lives. 

While my message is simple, it is also an urgent message.  If America suffers another nine-eleven style attack or even a pandemic virus, we could become vulnerable and succumb even further to a charismatic leader bent on change.  Our legislative leaders need to become “real” leaders and seek to lead, not follow the media’s trivia and the mundane clamoring of “politics as usual mentality” of party politics.

Now, my message to you is not simple but one that I would encourage you to embrace because it is the view a large number of your constituents would support.  Please read (They are in no particular order and by no means is this an exhaustive list.) and consider your stance on each.  They are: 

·        Restore patriotism and pride in America by standing up for America.  We are the greatest nation on earth: stand up and speak up because we have had enough of America being put down.   

·        Chastise and make examples of news organization that do not present truth. 

·        Pass no new legislation until it has been read, understood, debated and budgeted.   

·        Balance the national budget.  Reduce reckless spending and restore fiscal monetary sanity.  Stop the stealing from future generations. 

·        Close our borders to illegal immigration. Offer work visas for workers who are needed for our industries; however, require identification, fingerprints, facial recognition scans, and require payment of taxes. 

·        No amnesty for illegal immigrants. 

·        No welfare or social security for illegal immigrants. 

·        Make English the official language. 

·        Enforce all laws on the books before enacting new ones. 

·        Require government workers to work under the same benefit system as other American workers.  No free medical, insurance, or retirement plan(s) for elected officials who only serve one term.  Clean up this mess. 

·        Reform the tax code.  Adopt the fair tax or simplify the existing system. 

·        No more bailouts.  Get government out of the banks and automobile industry; stop government interference with our capitalistic system. 

·        No more entitlement programs.  You are entitled to nothing you do not earn.  

·        End long-term welfare programs.  If you don’t work you don’t eat.  Yes, we are a benevolent nation and need to provide assistance to the unfortunate who are making an effort and are down on their luck.   

 ·        We are a nation of laws.  Enforce the laws. 

·        We have a right to own firearms.  Help end the controversy by speaking out and supporting citizen ownership of guns. Yes, I understand the constitutional amendments and the State rights issue. 

·        Support the Constitution and the Legislative responsibilities of Congress.  

·        Demand that the Executive and Judicial branches of government live within their constitutional mandates. Stop the Judicial branches from making new laws. 

·        End abortion on demand. 

·        End “political correctness.”  Stop any legislation intended to stifle free speech. 

·        Eliminate the Czars.  Get government out of our lives and out of our business. 

·        Drive corruption out of Congress by speaking for morality, honesty and integrity.   

·        Support family values.  Deny homosexuals special protections and quotas.  Deny same sex marriages. 

·        Stop the cap and trade bill. 

·        Say “No” to a government style universal health care program.  

·        We need tort reform and other legal reforms.  Stop the lawsuit mentality; require the losing party to pay all court cost.  Stop outlandish monetary judgments. 

·        Make prisons safe; reduce prison time but require work (No gym or country club type atmosphere.)  Shorten the appeal process.  The criminal justice system needs to be cleaned up NOW.  

·        Curtail waste and eliminate the “pork.” Clean up the legislative process. 

·        We have food, coal, hydroelectric power, natural gas, oil and nuclear power.  Let our enemies “eat their oil.” No more free handouts to the nations of the world who hate us.  Stop our give-a-ways and stop them NOW. 

·        Get us out of the United Nations; why pour our money into a bottomless pit in support of countries that are seeking our destruction. 

These are some of the issues the majority of American voters are concerned with.  The list could go on and on but you get my point.   Do you support them? 

Will you work to promote family values, restoration of our Republic and Constitution and freedom from government tyranny? If so, say so. If not, say so. 

Americans will be watching and will be prepared to vote accordingly if you choose not to support their values.
