GA-Political 7/07/2010
The following letter was addressed to Senator Johnny Isakson, Senator Saxby Chambliss and Congressman Tom Price.
Dear Congressman and Senators:
The time is now! You must take a stand and identify yourself as “part of the solution and not part of the problem” as the battle plans are being drawn for the coming elections when those who believe in America’s founding principles will peacefully seek to take back America from the hands of those who are planning its destruction—the crowd of “Obamaites,” who by their own ignorance or godless values have intentionally, by not letting a crisis(s) go to waste, distorted the truth, denied the faith, and failed to protect America’s resources and its people in order to advance a Socialist government agenda.
On July 27, 2009 I wrote each of you a letter outlining steps that I felt would help restore America, not change America. I asked that you consider them as agenda items for consideration in your political platform. I also attached a cover letter in which I sought only for you to answer one question and that was, “Is Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior or do you claim some other god? I did not receive a reply. Copies of my letters to you are posted on my Blog site at, www.blog.northloopcottage.com, under the category GA- Political.
Now I have two requests. The first is to request your support for Dr. Charles F. Stanley, senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta, GA and founder of In Touch Ministries, and his crusade for enlisting all that would join him in committing themselves to “140 days of intercessory prayer for America.” Information regarding access to his message can be found at, www.blog.northloopcottage.com, or www.intouch.org.
And secondly, I would like for you to answer my question of July 27th: “Is Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior or do you claim some other god?”
While I do not believe that a particular religious or non-religious belief is a prerequisite to hold public office, i.e., there is no “state” religion as a condition of office, I am interested in what belief any office candidate or office holder holds or does not hold.
Our founding fathers were mostly Christian, but some were not. However, they all ascribed to a consistent set of values. Your affirmation of another religion—Jewish, Hindu, Moslem, etc.—will allow me to judge your actions and positions against my own beliefs.
I am also aware that there are provisions within the Islamic religion that allows Muslims to deny their faith and to lie to an “infidel” to promote their welfare. I believe our current President holds this belief.
Peter denied Jesus three times. If you are a Christian are you comfortable in your refusal to deny or act in the same manner as Peter? In the coming battle for America, there can be no “lukewarm” or “sideline” players.
If I cannot count on your support for traditional American values and beliefs, I would like to know now.
Thank you,
